In the 20th episode of my road trip from Sweden to Asia, I find myself in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, on New Year’s Eve 2025. Spending the night in a hostel with two other travelers, we celebrate the arrival of the new year far from home. Our kind host invites us to a delicious dinner before we head out to explore the city and watch the fireworks. However, things take an unexpected turn—Magic City closes before midnight, and the fireworks never happen!
But don’t worry, I captured amazing footage from the night before, showcasing Tashkent’s grand New Year preparations. To end the night on a high note, we visit Magic Aquarium, the best aquarium in Uzbekistan, for a breathtaking underwater experience!
