In this episode of my road trip from Sweden to Asia, I give you a behind-the-scenes look at hostel life in Almaty, Kazakhstan. I take you on a tour of my guest house, chat with fellow travelers from different countries, and share what it’s like to stay in a budget-friendly hostel.

After that, I head to Barkholka Bazaar, one of the biggest and busiest markets in Almaty. Here, I explore the endless shops, stalls, and local vendors, offering everything from clothes to electronics. I also meet some Afghan shopkeepers and talk with them about life in Kazakhstan.

Finally, I visit the Volvo workshop to get my car checked. I’ve been dealing with a long-standing issue, and the mechanics try to help me figure out the problem.
