From Zeytinburnu to Beylikdüzü | The Changing Story of Afghans in Istanbul SE3E2

After three years, I returned to Zeytinburnu, once the heart of the Afghan community in Istanbul. The hospitality is still there, but the vibrant energy of the past has faded. Many Afghans were deported back to Afghanistan, while others moved on to Europe in search of new opportunities.

But life continues. Today, many Afghan families are building a new chapter in Beylikdüzü a modern and growing part of the city. Afghan stores, bakeries, and restaurants are shaping a fresh community here.

In this vlog, we revisit old memories and explore new beginnings.
