Erbil to Baghdad by Taxi 🇮🇶 | Checkpoints, Fear & No Way Out by Land SE3E6

In Episode 6 of Journey to the Far East, I leave Erbil and take a shared taxi to Baghdad. On the way, the driver tries to scare me with stories about checkpoints and security risks—asking for extra money along the journey.

After arriving in Baghdad, the situation feels tense and uncertain. My original plan was to cross Iraq by land into Saudi Arabia or Jordan, but border restrictions and security risks make it nearly impossible. With no safe land route available, I’m forced to make a difficult decision.

This is my real experience traveling across Iraq in 2026.
